Persian Gulf

 

Persian Gulf with the area of 230000 square kilometer is in south part of Iran between Iran and Arabian Peninsula (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and United Arab Emirates). The name "Persian Gulf" is derived from old sources as the gulf was born centuries before Christ and its name is mingled to the name of "Pars" and "Persia". There exist vast oil fields in Persian Gulf which augments its value and importance. Persian Gulf is also rich with aquatic resources and 78% of the country's fishing takes place in this gulf.

 

 

      

 

 

 

 

Caspain Sea

 

"Caspian Sea" is the largest lake in the world (that's why it's called sea). The sea meets Iran on the south part, Russia on the north side and Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan are the other counties alongside it. Caspian Sea caviar fish is known globally and 90% of the world's caviar is supplied from this sea. Oil harvesting is also a common business in this sea.

 

 

     

 

 

 

 

Gulf of Oman

 

About half of the southern coasts of Iran, from Strait of Hormuz to Gwadr Bay, is adjacent to Gulf of Oman. Oman Gulf connects Persian Gulf to high seas of Indian Ocean. Ports like: Jask, Chabahar nad Gwadr are next this sea are a testament to commerce and sailing importance of the sea.
