Zahedan

Zahedan is one of the border cities of Iran which is located in east side of the country in the middle of eastern mountains. The majority of the people living in Zahedan is Muslim and speaks Farsi with "Baluchi" dialect. Zahedan with its glorious past is full of wonders and important historical places. Shaher-e Sookhteh

The mysterious "Burnt city" which is registered in UNESCO World Heritage Site list is the first and the largest human settlement in east part of Iranian plateau. The city is about 151 hectares and consisted of different parts: residential part, industrial part and cemetery part. The first signs of artificial eye and brain surgery are found in the area.

 

      

 

 

 

Dahaneh Gholaman

Dahaneh Gholaman is the remnants of a great city from the Achaemenid dynasty. This is the only mud-brick city remained from Achaemenids. Dahaneh Gholaman is located 200 km away from Zahedan city.  

 

 

    

 

 

Machi Castle

 

Machi castle was firstly established in Sasanid era and met its apogee at the time of Safavids. The building has a two-iwan plan and the has a square form. The whole building of Machi castle is made of mud-bricks.
