Gorgan is one of the northern cities of Iran which sits in south east of Caspian sea and has a moderate weather. Jame Mosque of Gorgan
Jame mosque of Gorgan dates back to Saljuq dynasty (about 800 years old). The mosque is consisted of a courtyard with four-iwan plan and four prayer halls that have the especial architectural designs of that period.
Gonbad-e Qabus Tower
About 90 km away from Gorgan, there stands the tallest brick tower of the world (70 meters from the ground). Gonbad-e Qabus tower was established at the time of Ziyarid dynasty about 1000 years ago. The usage of the tower is not determined yet.
Emadieh School
"Emadieh" was an Islamic school which was built in Timurid era. Emadieh school is located at east side of the old part of the city. Almost all parts of the school are symmetrical and stand in an arranged way next to each other.
