The building of the museum is same as Iranian historical architecture and a façade similar to Taq Kasra's porch which belongs to Sasanid era. National museum of Iran is consisted of two separate buildings one of which is "Antiquity Museum" and the other one "Islamic era museum". Not only the National museum is the largest museum in the country but also is it the most complete museum of Iran and one of the most diverse museums of the world. There exist more than 300,000 objects in this museum belonging to different historical eras, ranging from 800,000 years old to 50 years old.
