Lakes are one of the most popular tourism destinations in Iran which you can visit in your Iran trip. There are 28 natural lakes and 9 man-made ones in Iran which are formed due to the construction of dams. The lakes which exist in regions with higher level of precipitation (e.g. Mazandaran province) are the permeant ones which are full of water throughout the year but the lakes existing in dry areas and semi-arid part are temperament.
